Purpose
The Honors Film Association (HFA) was created in the fall of 2004 to advance interest in film and other cinematic arts on the University of Arkansas campus. Each fall, HFA is involved in the planning and production of the Native American Film Symposium and the Indigenous Peoples Day Observances. As HFA continues to grow, we hope to be able to plan other film and cinematic arts events for the UA community.

Membership
HFA membership is free and open indiscriminately to all UA students. Because HFA works in conjunction with honors students enrolled in Film Lecture for the planning and production of our two main events, these students will have automatic membership in HFA. All other persons interested in becoming HFA members should contact Dr. Frank Scheide, HFA faculty advisor, or a current officer and request to be added to our mailing list, or simply drop by for an HFA meeting. Meetings are held Tuesdays at 5:00 pm in Kimpel Hall 102.
